Training Sessions Previously Offered This School Year

Below is a list of training opportunities offered by the Department that have already occurred this school year. Please click the appropriate button to download relevant materials from each session.

MCAS Test Administration and Security Protocols for Grades 3-8 (slides with audio): highlights critical elements of the MCAS test administration for computer-based testing as well as for paper-based testing for grades 3–8, including updates on the testing program, test administration protocols, test security requirements, participation guidelines, and accessibility and accommodations. MCAS Test Administration and Security Protocols for High Schools (slides with audio): This session highlights elements of the high school MCAS test administration, including test administration protocols, test security requirements, participation guidelines, and accessibility and accommodations. Pre-Administration Tasks for Grades 3-8 Technology Staff (WebEx): This session reviews the technology requirements and system set-up needed to successfully administer the computer-based MCAS tests. Topics include infrastructure trial, proctor caching, software installation, and additional resources available to support technology staff. 2017 MCAS Computer-Based Test Administration (WebEx): This WebEx presentation includes information about the following topics: Data review of SIMS and the SR/PNP; demo of the Infrastructure Trial set-up; demo creating and administering CBT sessions; additional resources for CBT administration. MCAS Office Hours Session for Grades 3-8 from March 17: Pre-administration tasks, including those for test administrators, will be presented. MCAS Office Hours Session for Grades 3-8 from April 10: Tasks related to the beginning of the testing window will be presented.
